While Partikular Inc partly originated from an obsession with upgrading the utility of everyday wear, it was mostly born from the goal of creating custom leather goods that not only could be made from upcycled materials but could also be produced at scale. Sourcing and designing with these goals in mind was challenging but ultimately resulted in a sustainable outlet for otherwise fashion “waste” and lower production costs.
I created a style guide and overarching “look” for what Partikular Inc would become. As the initial suspenders product went from concept to prototyping, their rapid popularity turned a few one-off products into an entire line of artisanal accessories from wallets to totes. After launching as an e-commerce store, Partikular Inc products began selling several retail stores around Los Angeles.
